The Beaver family visiting national parks and SC state parks
Beavers in the Park
Four Beavers setting out to visit National and SC State Parks!
We’re a family of four: Benjamin and Tiffany, along with our two daughters (Teagan, 11, and Sage, 6). We started stamping our South Carolina State Park Passport in October 2021 and our National Park Passport in January 2022. Next stop? Who knows?!
Check out our visits via the Maps page or on our Blog.
Update June 2023: We are now Ultimate Outsiders! This means we visited all 47 of the South Carolina state parks. Click here for some reflections.
FYI: The featured image used for each post is the stamp that we put in our parks passports. Check out the state park program in your own state to see if there is a similar program for you. The parks are numbered based on the order we visit them, with SC01 being the first South Carolina state park, and NP001 being the first national park.

I’ll ultimately share about our trip to Plains, but first,…
After a brief visit to Fort Matanzas and lunch, the Beavers forged our way through the traffic into the heart of downtown Saint Augustine. After being in more secluded areas, the crowds were a definite change of pace. (I’m personally not a fan.) The ranger at the castillo (Spanish for ‘castle’, but this structure is…
